Tryptophan hangover (and BIG project news)

(I'll start with the boring personal stuff, the project news is at the bottom)

Well, HAPPY (day after) THANKSGIVING!!

I had a really nice day. The whole family got together at my niece's new house and did the big dinner thing....me, my sister, my niece, my nephew and his wife and three kids, my brother and his wife, my other niece, her husband and his parents. A few of us wound up there until after midnight playing Trivial Pursuit. It was really fun and more relaxing than many holiday gatherings of years past.

A friend of mine invited me to kind of an open house Thanksgiving at her mom's house and I really wanted to go, BUT between only getting 4 hours sleep, getting up and going over to help get the cooking started and then eating all that turkey I just had no motivation to go anywhere. Much less going somewhere where I'd only know a couple people and feel the need to be on my best behavior! ;) Still, it was nice to be invited.

(PROJECT NEWS...more of a teaser, really)

A new project is in the works! It's a project I've been trying to get off the ground for some time. Everyone who's heard the inside scoop on the story keeps telling me "You gotta get this out there fast! This could be the one! This NEEDS to be a movie! This one could get you noticed!" So, I decided to bite the bullet and sink the bulk of my savings (originally set aside to buy a truck) into this thing. I placed an ad at the Digital Webbing classifieds and got a ton of great replies.

I was amazed to even get a response from a current Top Cow artist! I was even more surprised that we were able to come to an agreement and he'll be drawing this miniseries for me! I should be getting some character sketches and stuff like that soon. I'll post sketches and details on the artist and the project in the coming days.
